DESCRIPTION: After a long hiatus due to the pandemic, Kessa Mefford, soprano Kristina Cook and violinist Olga Dusheina return to present the next installment of Kessa's concert series Whimsical Birdsong. This concert will feature Ravel's less played 1st Sonata for Violin and Piano, a new sonata by Dan Montez for violin and piano, Ravel's Berceuse sur le nom de Faure, Ravel's famous 5 Greek Melodies along with 2 other short and thrilling songs, and two pieces for piano solo by Ravel and Faure.
